The locals are hard-working but overflowing hospitable people, happy to see others after the long, lonely winter days. They are good cooks and over time have learnt that not everyone eats fish and have carefully prepared dishes for vegetarians, vegans or people with allergies. But our advice remains: DON'T MISS the fish dishes! They're cooked "just like mum - from the delta - at home". The local custom is for the husband, a fisherman, to bring the "raw ingredients" and the wife to show off her culinary skills, eyeing the guest's satisfaction!
