About the event

"Ivan Patzaichin" Festival - RowmaniaFEST @ 29 - 31 August (Tulcea) & Ivan's Delta Caravan @ 31 Aug - 2 Sept (Tulcea - Mila 23)This large-scale event, now in its 14th edition, promotes Tulcea as a tourist destination, attracting every year a large audience for a weekend as long as a holiday, with many activities: canoeing competitions, children's workshops, outdoor film screenings, exhibitions, local gastronomy, debates on topics relevant to Tulcea and the Delta and concerts rock'n'row.

The Ivan Patzaichin Festival - Rowmania is an annual festival in Tulcea honouring the memory of the great Ivan Patzaichin and working to protect nature, water heritage and biodiversity, to educate children and adults about the value of natural and cultural capital, to promote the principles of sustainability and responsible tourism, to demonstrate the benefits of outdoor movement and water sports, and to encourage communities to build on their strengths and multiculturalism.
The festival is organised by the Ivan Patzaichin Association - Mila 23, together with the Tulcea City Hall and Tulcea County Council.
This year, the Ivan Patzaichin Festival, one of the events we are organising in memory of Ivan Patzaichin and his boundless love for Tulcea and the Danube Delta, is taking place from 29 August to 2 September:
🎈 29-30 August📍Tulcea - Local Gastronomic Points fair, competitions and walks on Lake Ciuperca, alternative education workshops for children, open-air film screenings, concerts.
🎈 31 August-2 September - United Waters of Romania Caravan - a rowing tour in the Danube Delta, from 📍Tulcea la 📍Mila 23.
