About the event
The Tulcea County Council has set the official calendar for this year's Enisala Festival: the event will take place on Friday and Saturday, 21-22 August, right at the foot of Enisala Fortress, one of the most visited attractions in Dobrogea. Public access is free, as in previous editions.
The announcement brings an end to a period of uncertainty regarding the organisation of the 2026 edition. At the beginning of the year, there were indications that the event might be cancelled, possibly due to budgetary restrictions at the county level. Unlike previous editions, which spanned three or four days, this year the festival has been reduced to just two evenings of performances.
Nonetheless, the format remains consistent: live music performed by nationally renowned artists, light and laser shows, an area dedicated to local gastronomy, and various activities for visitors, all set against the impressive backdrop of the medieval fortress.
The organisers are also banking on a positive economic effect for the surrounding communities — Enisala, Sarichioi, Babadag and neighbouring localities — where guesthouses, restaurants and small local producers could benefit from the influx of visitors. However, the short time between the official announcement and the event date could make it difficult for traders who wish to be present at the festival site to prepare.
The Enisala Festival has established itself in recent years as one of the summer highlights of Tulcea county, precisely because of the unique setting offered by the fortress, which is difficult to find at other similar events in the country. Last year's edition attracted a large audience, and the uncertainty in the first part of this year has further increased interest in the 2026 confirmation.

Event Programme: Enisala Festival 2026 – Unity at the Fortress
Friday, 21 August The first evening brings together artists popular with both local and national audiences:
- Dubin Formation (Tulcea)
- F-Charm
- Puya
- David Ciente & Maria Chivu
- Jianca Group
Puya is expected to be the headliner of the evening, thanks to an established audience across several generations. F-Charm brings hip-hop and urban sounds, and the duet David Ciente & Maria Chivu offers a modern style, suitable for an outdoor festival setting with a diverse audience.
Saturday, 22 August The second evening is designed for a wide audience, from young people to families and tourists in the area:
- Look
- Florian Rus
- Horia Brenciu
Mira comes with known pop hits and an appreciated stage presence, Florian Rus brings a more introspective repertoire, with a loyal audience, and Horia Brenciu is anticipated as the artist who will close the festival on a full show note, with energy and audience interaction.
Related activities Besides concerts, the organisers have included laser shows in the programme, a section dedicated to the musical experience („Experience Music Festival”), a food area and various workshops, all designed to transform the event into a weekend experience, not just a series of concerts.
